Terri Stein
Litigation Associate
Terri has over a decade of experience in estate litigation, elder law, and child‑focused advocacy across Ontario’s public and private sectors. She is a compassionate, diligent and principled advocate.
Terri’s experience navigating the public institutions routinely involved in estate litigation allows her to anticipate procedural hurdles and keep matters moving smoothly and strategically. Prior to joining Friedman Estate Litigation Professional Corporation, she acted as counsel at the Office of the Children’s Lawyer and practiced estate litigation at a boutique firm in Toronto. In both roles, she handled complex estate litigation matters including will challenges, dependant support claims, guardianship applications (for minors and adults), will rectifications and validations, and passings of accounts. She completed her articling term at the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee.
Terri earned her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School, where she received multiple academic awards. She holds a B.A. in English from York University.
When away from work, Terri can usually be found curled up with a novel and her orange cat, Mouse.
